Tissue and Prostate Cancer


Tissue is composed of cells that have specialized, such as prostate cells which have specialized to form prostatic tissue. Prostatic tissue is specialized to make the prostate gland, an organ which is located directly under the bladder and in front of the rectum. When prostate cells develop prostate cancer, the prostatic tissue is referred to as a cancerous, and the entire organ may be affected during certain prostate cancer treatments.
