Brachytherapy Seeds for Prostate Cancer

Prostate brachytherapy seeds are planted during permanent brachytherapy as a prostate cancer treatment. The seeds are a titanium casing and are filled with iodine-125 or palladium-103 which emit radioactive energy until the material decays.
